The Garden Tower located in Islamabad, Pakistan, is a conceptual project conceived by DB Studios in collaboration with Ghayoor Obaid Architects based in Lahore. Inspired by the local architectural language of the surrounding settlements of Islamabad which include Saidpur Village, the integration of neighboring green spaces, particularly the F-9 Park and the larger urban fabric of the city, alongside the linearity of the modern iconic forms Islamabad, these contextual references from the proposed site were incorporated into the final design. As a result, a vertical, concrete, green, residential tower was produced which celebrates a sense of communal living.

The Garden Tower is a G+40 floor level building that commemorates the surrounding iconic natural beauty of the Metropolitan city. The building consists of amenities such as internal green courtyards, tennis courts, an indoor gym, and an artificial lake for its residents as well. The building proposal consists of 1,2,3 and even 4-bedroom apartments. The building orientation also responds to the surrounding natural scenery of the Margalla Hills and F-9 Park, which as a result maximize views for residents with terraced apartments alongside vertical buffer zones that have been made as a part of the green façade of the tower. To celebrate the vernacular architectural language of Islamabad, ‘Jaalis’ (trellises) inspired by Islamic geometry that was first used during the early days of Islamabad’s conception has also been incorporated into the design aesthetic of this building.
